Can Anyone give me some suggestions on how to tie 300pd mono to braid?

If the 300lb mono is intended to be the leader why not buy or make a windon and catspaw this to a loop in the braid.

PR knot if you want it direct is very strong. Wind-on leaders as mention are good also ie bimini double in braid then cats paw to dacron wind-on/loop.
It comes down to what your doing & targetting.
