Out with the 30 year old evinrude 90 hp
In with a newer 115 hp optimax mercury
Hope all goes well, will test out tomorrow. Smart guages look good aswell.

I so need an upgrade..fuel economy and reliability.
Had a 07 opti 115 2 stroke on my old boat, was a good strong motor, never had any issues.

Yes indeed to venturing further out now.
I took it out with the wife this morning, very happy how smooth and quiet the motor was, very responsive when pushing forward and smooth when backing off. Just got to work on how to use power trim for correct ride, i didnt have it on other motor so all new to me, but otherwise very pleased.
