Turtle Bay - warning
Beautiful photos, We got hit by 3 king waves in exactly the spot you are anchored and wrecked our boat 40 years ago. We were rescued by a commercial boat later, and that anchored in exactly the same spot to pick us up. Be careful.

yup i know how dodgy this
yup i know how dodgy this spot is - there is a mooring now (the boat is on it), but its close to that point and in swells she gets hit from both sides. Turtle Bay is really only somewhere you want to stay in the very best of conditions. Thats my boat and it was uninsured at the time, i slept on the beach cos even that night it was rollin around non stop, but I didnt have a very good sleep and was thankful when we motored out the enxt day!
