Variety Bash

Took my old man and my oldest boy out for a run but changed tack and headed out of Mindarie to explore some new ground and hit a couple of old spots I haven't been to in 2 years. The old boy isn't much a fan of long bumpy rides so I turned up the stereo to down out his groans for the 12 mile journey out As soon as we stopped poor Lachie realised he forgot to take Kwells and was vomitting his guts up but didn't once ask to head back in... little trooper.
The C-map Reveal was spot on with a huge lump in about 37m and dad pulled a 52cm pinky off it first drift. The wind and current meant I couldn't get the drift bait rigs to hold bottom and we struggled to get so much as a bite for the next 2 hours trying several drift lines over promising looking ground.
I made the call to hit a tiny lump that we've previously pulled stonking blackarse and a couple of baldies from and we loading up with heavier lead and dropper rigs, got my drift spot on first run and Dad and I had a double hook up and I pulled up the baldie with Dad landing the blackbum. Tried a couple more drifts to get Lachie onto a fish but by this stage his will was broken and cold beers were calling so we pushed home in pretty sloppy conditions.

Hopefully you find some fish
Hopefully you find some fish pirate. Water levels have been bloody high which is understandable. Always good fun though!
