Heading to Walpole in 2 weeks taking the dinghy mainly fishing the river but might get offshore, any tips would be great?

Head to the river mouth for whiting bream and herring.
Up the rivers for the blacks
Hit the 50 meter line out in the bay and sound around for ground if the weather permits. Also try around the islands
Be very careful at the river mouth. Can be very dangerous if the swell is up.
If you put in the effort you will be rewarded at Walpole.
It is our favorite family fishing spot and we spend 2 weeks there at Xmas time each year.
