ok so this morning I thought id pick up my pots after a 2 day soak and my oldest son was so excited to catch some as he has never been on the boat to caych them only to find some wankers have smashed up my pot and filled the bait holders full of rubbish. They took my crays smashed my pots then made me clean up their rubbish
Who ever done this you are scum f**k u
I seewhy my old man got put offcraying when this happens.
All this happened just out near little island just near hillarys

I've been thinking about getting some pots for a year or so now and trying my luck. Everytime I'm just about ready to jump in and give it a go I read something like this and go back to the lack of interest stage.

Xmas and New Year period
We had pots in and did really well but as soon as the holidays hit, we pulled them and will wait till it all settles again. It sucks having to get up super early but better than dealing with that junk.

I've posted comments previously about the same thing happening to me. Rubbish stuffed into my bait baskets. It is absolutely soul destroying when we go to so much effort & expense to get our pots out there. As you say there's the expectation & exitement too that is ruined. I reported it to fisheries when it happened to me. Not much they can do retrospectively of course, but at least they're made aware that it's happening. So sorry to hear of it yet again - especially for your boy. I know exactly how you are feeling. As with Oracle, I pulled my pots in before the holiday season started.

Did you try dropping on that spot I gave you? It's not a gold mine but as far as I can tell never had anyone tamper with my pots there and never pulled up an empty pot there.

not yet mate have only been using oneof thesmall boats atm was planning dropping there on tuesday. Cos its been ruff I just went in close for now. All good but thanks hezzy ill be able to fix at work but it is easier to just buy a new ones probably

the thing that really shits me is my6 year old son coming out for the first time being all excited to catch his first cray then you pull up our pots like that. They should be shot

im telling you, fill the bait baskets with a paintball grenade so when they open it it explodes! can buy them off the net. just swap the paint out with enamel paint so it doesn't wash off with the water
