Headed out into the 40's west of Garden Island on Wednesday and Thursday. Water temperature up from 21 to 23 out there in 24 hours. Did anybody else record a sudden jump further north? Hopefully the mackies will be here soon.

Solar heating
Almost certainly the effects of a hot day heating the top few feet of water.

We have fished a couple of classics, (we live here) it's a good weekend, and a good crew, very well organised comp. This will be the first time in our new rig, so really hoping the weather Gods are kind for the comp.
we are team DILLIGAF?
So we should have a coldie or three at the weighin....along with any other fish wrecked mob who turn up?

Big difference
You can't compare Perth temps to Kalbarri. On a hot day off Perth, say 35-40 deg, the top few feet of water will heat up by 1-2 deg over the course of the day. And that's where your temp sensor is located.
