Looking forward to some genuine thoughts from the WC faithful on where exactly their team is at.
Almost full strength this week, and destroyed on their own dung hill. New coach, not sure what his game plan is. Is it season over and is their any young talent coming through?

it's appearing like we haven't improved
on last year, although I don't think it's unusual for a team to take time to adjust to what is supposed to bee a new game plan. Basic skill errors are killing us - I don't understand how so many players can be down as often as they are,at the same time, and be so inconsistent... again I'm hoping its an adjustment period.

worst kicking team in the
worst kicking team in the league, cant believe the kicks darling, kennedy and lecras have to deal with. gaff doesnt like to tackle hates getting hard ball. i like yeo but i dont think he is being used in the best way, bennel looks confident but sometimes needs to kick it short to an open player instead of bombing away. schofield needs to stay in the side so i think hill, or ellis have to go, i think ellis will break down anyway, they gotta play hutchings kid can play. deffinatly season over we need speed and better ball skills thinking a rolling sweep of a few players end of year is needed. hill, brown, cripps, sheppard just to name a few. also see no real difference in simpsons coaching to wooshas at the end of his carrer. hope its just a feeling out period for simpson otherwise we may have made a bad move signing him

You know, when I first
You know, when I first started playing footy as a 7 year old one of the first things I learnt was to kick it to my mates. And we played kick to kick when ever we could, lunch periods at school, down the oval on weekends and even during the following years, we always had some kick to kick at footy training etc. it's amazing that people forget or just can't undertake these fundamentals of the game, and I'm not having a go at wet toast here because we are just as bad sometimes.

Hit the nail on the head there dale. I'm currently playing in the local league and the kicking is just as good as west coast. West Coast need to focus on the basics of the game. When I go to footy training twice a week we do two laps of the oval then 20 push-ups, 20 sit-ups and then 10 minutes of stretches. Then we kick to kick a hundred times on right foot and a hundred on left foot. Do 1 on 1 contests marking and chasing. Then do some basic training things like 5 star kick and so on. We have one training session half an hour on fitness then a 1 hour scratchie. This is a basic footy routinand very effective in my opinion. It is under 14's though.
I think that we should have a more intense fitness program by far. Improve on running. Then do a basic footy training session that juniors do. Standard kick to kick does a lot!

Im a devoted eagles fan and
Im a devoted eagles fan and as most eagles fans we are different from a lot of other fans because on the whole we do not accept mediocrity as an acceptable level from our team or club. This makes us highly critical of our own team and we get told by other fans we are too hard on our players/officials and maybe on occasion that's right but generally our success as a club has always been due to the extremely high bar we set for ourselves.
So far most of our performances this year have been very promising only to fall short of victory over port, freo, collingwood and carlton due to pathetic skill execution in front of goal.
Had these millionaire forwards and midfielders done the most basic part of their jobs and kick just a handful more goals from close in the eagles would be flying high still.
These games frustrate everyone but they arent the ones that concern me so much. Its the brain fade/pea hearted efforts like games against geelong and again tonight v the roos that make me spew as a supporter. The depth is lacking true, but when your best side save glassy is in at home there is no excuse for that insipid performance we witnessed!
Its about being accountable.
I also want to hear the new coach not just do a malthouse and dribble some minimalistic cliche. I want to hear emotion and truth from him about wtf hes gunna do to earn his fkn pay!
Be ashamed eagles! And be on notice! This is not acceptable from this proud club!
Members and supporters get on the media and phone and let these limpdix at OUR club know how we feel!

I listened to that twat Ken Judge on the radio after the game saying WCE have 3 top class forwards in Darling, Kennedy and Le Cras who can barely kick 6 goals between them consistently, eventho they have more inside 50's (51 to 44 against North).
Its not the forwards, its the delivery into the forward line. WCE have lacked a strong midfield since the mid 2000's and really need to find.
North kept on dropping a man back and WCE just kept lobbing it in... there is no proper method for delivery. Take a look at Sydney with Tippet and Buddy, a structured forward line with 2 big forwards, differe4nce being, Delivery into their forwards is structured.
I'm an avid WCE supporter, and I also think the coach needs to draw the line and those who do not perform and who are not accountable are dropped....

It's all character building mate, we do have a lot of work to do - but unlike Freo, we do at least, have a forward line. We just have to ride out R1 Randall's posts for the next 9 weeks , because Freo will win their next 9 games (according to R1) , no doubt - because they have the best midfield and defence (according to R1) and as a result, they will get a top two spot (according to R1) and probably win the flag (according to R1).......... so we must be humble mate, sit back and watch Freo smash all before them.

It's pointless having the world's greatest forward line (according to paully) if they don't get hands on it. Freo's delivery leaves a lot to be desired at times but one player who delivers to advantage on almost every occasion is Steven hill. That's why he is heavily tagged. It's great having a player of his quality. The other is mundy. Also really good.
