25 Crabs between two boats yesterday, about 7 went into a singapore chilli crabs for christmas eve dinner and shiteloads of satay, ham scrambled eggs, scones and fruit this morning, traditional christmas lunch, then traditional christmas dinner leftovers buffet with the rest of the crabs, prawns, chicken and beef satay sticks.
Boom, we were driven around most of the day by my bro and his missus cheers for that, I have drunk about 5 different types of beer, few different red wines, then rode our bikes to the dinner, and home after.
After that, using the olds yacht as a mothership through cockburn sound for the next few days. I reckon the blue mannas and squid at the least will cop a hiding over the next week.
We had a bbq...prawns, roo kebabs, and chops....assorted sides including an interesting experiment from my wife; a platter of watermelon chunks covered in feta and roasted pinenuts...sounds weird but was a HUGE hit with everybody...then chilled out in the pool with a few homebrews.
I think I'm starting to get the hang of Aussie Xmas! :D
pity to actually have to eat that and ruin the presentation. The closest I got to that was a southern rock lobster for lunch and a few prawns for nibbles.
ps like the black and white photo of pinchy too!
I would hate to do you out of your stardome mate..LOL I am still a bit sleepy from our feast(s) so I haven't got the pics downloaded yet. Merry Xmas mate!
from yesterday, never thought to take photos, but we had roast pork, ham, roast chicken, roast turkey breast, prawns and crayfish, with potato, coleslaw, cauliflower (chili) and the old favourite, cucumber onion & tomato salads, two salad platters and one massive potato bake, dessert was fruit salad and ice-cream, three different cheese cakes, old fashioned wine trifle and a massive Pavlova. Then everybody in the pool to cool off with beers in hand (adults) Kids water guns cooling those that didn't go for a dip. The dog enjoyed swimming in the pool, jumping in, landing on the floatie bean bag, then looking around to see who she could annoy.
So full, got home about 5.00pmn didn't eat dinner, just a nice brewed coffee and in bed by 10.00pm.
We were going to Leeman this morning (Saturday) but stuffed from yesterday's Xmas lunch going early Sunday

The first is steamed
The first is steamed spinach, caramelized leeks and roasted red peppers, held in place with potato salad.
The other is roast vegetables with thick balsamic vinegar.
Both had to be prepped the day before and hand laid into the dish so they could set and be turned over. Took a while, but turned out pretty well.
