Its fine if you want to catch fish that arent very good eating. Like buff bream and stingrays. Still an abundance of whiting around, you just have to try new spots for them. I still get the occasional good sized skippy on plastics, but no where near as many. There are some thumper Whiting inside the marina near the swimming beaches though ;)
fisheries bloke said to me today that the tailor are goin off in the marina with a million people hitting it up in the mornings. handing out undersize catch fines all morning he reckons
Went to an area up at Quinns Beach last Sunday and there was Tailor galore. So I decided to go last night and there was squat. A bloody stingray was hanging around all night, scaring off the fish. Hopefully tonight will be better. A late night fish starting at 12am.
