What's the latest status of the Carnarvon jetty

Can anyone tell me what state the Carnarvon jetty is in? Is there any news on if and when any repairs will be made?

Jetty
They are due to start the repairs any time now Col,the barge/pontoon has been surveyed,transported back up here and reassembled.The timber is already here so expect to see action soon.
They had to cut the rail tracks left suspended after the fire due to some of the local vietnamese pulling planks up and laying them on the suspended rails to make a bridge to get out to the end.This resulting in the loose planks falling in the drink and then they were pulling more up .They should have waited untill they were out the end when they cut the rails.

If you are heading up there Colin,I have had some awsome fishing sesions in the entrance to the fishing boat harbour on the tide change.

I think you will still be able to fish from it up as far as the burnt bit but don't quote me,I may be wrong.Give me a day or two and I will find out for sure.
Mate and I took the boat over to the river mouth ,got 2 nice tailor around 2kg on chrome slices,lost heaps more.
They are getting good whiting from Pelican point and some good jacks up the creeks.
Put the net out Monday arvo for 2 hours and got 8 nice mullet for Tuesdays trip,cannot beat fresh unfrozen mullet for bait
