 I've always done better

I've always done better closer towards the ocean.  I've got a few reasonable ones around Claremont jetty and similar areas. I do have one spot that's never failed me, but it stays with me.

try near the red herring restraunt in east freo,i used to go down there to fish for yellowfin whiting at night using bloodworms, the blowy problem used to be bad during the day,but the whiting we got were from 30cm to 40cm,not as many as the ocean but good specimens plus flathead and flounders............

We have always done well on the south side between the old and the new traffic bridge there is a small carpark there straight out in front of it.Or go a K up and just after the boat shed cast out in amongst boats tied up.Not to often we have been let down around both those spots

hey kevin,

What do you use on the whiting? My wifes granddad wants to go fishing but is a baitman only. Do you fish after dark to avoid the blowies?

Havent fished much the last 12mths so some general info would be great if you can.

Cheers

Adrian
