 I had a stacer seahorse 4.2

I had a stacer seahorse 4.2 (on a trailer) and was very happy with it.  Had to upgrade as the family grew up.  I suspect you will be car or van topping??  I reckon it will all come down to size and being easily drive en by a smaller motor if you will be lifting it on and off all the time?  Best bet will be to look around all the brands you have identified to see what suits. :)

I've got a Quintrex 375 Dart,

I've got a Quintrex 375 Dart, had it for 5 years now...awesome boat for the ocean as it has a nice deep hull. about as big as you want to go for a roof topper..75kgs. I've had it 3 miles offshore in Esperance and miles out past the reef in Ningaloo/Warroora.
Goes on top of my 100 series or on top of my Jayco Flamingo.

With a 15Hp on the back it gets along really well, but could do with a 20hp when 2 big blokes onboard.

 Hey woody.

the dart is one I have been more interested in. The other being the seajay angler 3.75. Although it is about 86kg, but it seems so deep.

does your flamingo have more of the aerodynamic roof rack or the older squar type.

I also have a Quinny 375 Dart

I brought it new about 5 years ago and went for the straight across transom and put a long leg 15hp 2 stroke Yammie on the back and absolutely love it.

we spent 3 years carting it around oz and used it all over the place.. Top lil setup

ps for a trailer I brought a mangrove Ali trailer, it only weighs 38 kgs and pulls down to bugger all..

Yep forgot to

Yep forgot to mention...definitely go for straight transom and long leg motor like Outdoinit mentioned, saves water coming in when coming into the beach etc

3.75 Dart

Agree completely with the Dart. I had one for a few years with a 15 Yamaha. Great little rig which had no problems going a few kays out. Been around Garden island on good days and also outside the reef at Exmouth.

Flamingo has the aerodynamic

Thu, 2014-10-02 19:51

Flamingo has the aerodynamic rack...only one Jayco sell now and good for 100kgs. Only bugger about putting it on there is you cant wind it up. That's why it goes on the cruiser...plus I can just dump it off down the beach a whole lot easier.
Haven't seen the seajay but I can't rate the quinnie highly enough...heaps of old farts up at Warroora use them, including my old man.
Cost $2K from All Boats 5 years ago plus $2k for a 15HP Mariner...best $4K I've ever spent!
