White Hills

Promised my son that he would catch his first tailor tonight. With a nice breeze blowing we ventured off to White Hills. Given all of the reports I waited patiently for the bite to start but it never came. In four hours (4-8pm) we manged two small herring and outside of that didn't get a bite. Was a pretty quiet drive home but at least the lightening show was entertaining. Westy.

Sometimes they fire up
Sometimes they fire up after dark.about 830 -9 pm for a good hour after that

High tide at 10:30. If you were in a good spot it might of just started to fire up after you left. Ive always done best down there for the hour or so leading up to the high tide.

I've had more on the beaches
I've had more on the beaches from Falcon to Singleton over a 7 day period 2 weeks ago targeting 4pm to 8pm and incoming tide with average 4 to 7 tailor a session and over 2 nights I got 2 mullaway of 5.5 and 6 kg all on bait and 5kg line. I also had no luck for 4 days at WHills and 3 days at Tims Ticket same bait and same tackle tide was different by an hour. Not sure why this is cause my diary shows I got nothing Falcons way last season and caught all tailor at Tims instead. Season before got it at WHills again so maybe it's just luck at being on the spot when they come past.
