Wilbinga Flies

Went to Wilbinga on Friday afternoon for an overnighter and have never seen the flies so bad. I always thought Overlander was the worst place I had seen for flies but this experience beat it hands down.
To make matters worse, decided to fish near flatrocks but didn't clear the bombies and actually caught more snags than fish for the evening.
Highlight of the trip was a mate that was meeting us up there that wasn't experienced at all in 4WDing and having to rescue them from a rather precarious situation having his tires being undermined by the incoming tide whilst on a wave eroded drop off...silly bastard!

Was at Wilbinga on Sat and you are not wrong about the flies. Literally swarm your face and get into your ears, nostrils and eyes!
However, they seemed to died down towards noon time and less of these midgets when you are closer to water...
Bushman with 40% deed is like spraying plain water at the flies....totally useless.

was down there yesterday morning, no weed and the beach has started to get a bit more solid. Pretty drivable from the looks though I took tracks right through to where I fished.
Also, flies weren't and issue, but I was out of there by 8:30am so prob would have gotten worse later
