Heading down to denmark around new years and am planning to wet a line. Have fished there 2-3 times before and literally have not hat a bite or lost my bait. Can I Please have some advice for fishing down there on what my target species should be and how I should be rigging up for them. I will be using a boat with a colour sounder if that helps. Thanks

About 8 years ago a mate and I hired a dhingy, went over to the mussel leases and landed 2 kg's and a flathead literally within 20 minutes. Since then tho I've had practically zero luck, only caught a couple bream in the river. Try chatting to the bloke at the tackle store, he might be able to help ya. Apparently when the mouth breaks there's lotsa estuary snapper coming out. The main beach and rocks nearby are worth a shot if the estuary is no good, always herring around and the chance of bigger stuff. There's also Lights Beach (I think its called) which looks good, haven't tried there myself though. Good luck anyways, awesome part of WA

I went down January this year. I went out with John from Madfish charters and had a great days fishing with big flatties, kgs and bull herring. The next day I hired a tinny from the caravan park and got some bream. Try fishing around the Podyshot ramp and fish shallow water.
