Winter flathead

Hey guys just wondering if going after flatties in winter is a good idea or if there are any certain weather conditions or times of day that would be best suited. A few blokes tell me that summer is the best time for em but ya can still fish for em all year round.

Yes mate all year round in the river. Skinny water (so that its warmer) is best, Point Walter towards the river mouth this time year will produce.

Spots
Point Walter, Fremantle Traffic Bridge, the flats in front of the Left Bank. Pick a warm day / still and you'll get flatties.

You can get them all year
You can get them all year round in the river as mentioned but it can be a lot of casts between fish in winter. If your not prepared to cast all day & not see scales, forget it. Better off waiting until October when the flatties start getting more active & you can catch a few in a few hours with no problem.
Just because I smile & nod does not mean I believe the crap coming out of your mouth.
