Wireless Printers

Howdy all, I'm looking to purchase a new wireless printer but not overly sure what's good and bad. Not into printing photo's etc, just something to print out my work flight itinerary's and stuff my son needs for school and the like. Anyone got any good recommendations? Only want to spend $200 - $300 but must be wireless.
Cheers
Dale

I was looking wireless
but in the end had no need for it. I was looking at the Canon MP640. Its multifunction so it prints, copies and scans - ideal for your son for school stuff. Its also has a pretty high dpi of 9600 x 4800 and has the 1 picolitre fine head technology (I know you dont print photos, but this is a nice feature to have incase you do print a few off). It comes in around the $250 mark depending on where you shop obviously.
Personally, its Canon for my printers. They have always been good.

Wireless is brainless IMO
With all the money we spend on this stuff and the REAL value of printers as in, cost of ownership, take the safe option and hard wire the damn thing and share it. When the wireless link fails, as it does most of the time intermitantly, where are you going to look first? Which Item are you going to reboot first and how many times are you prepared to resubmit the job or print a test page?
I use Bluetooth here a fair bit for my phone etc and it is not AT ALL stable IMO. I come form a systems engineering background and I have learned the hard way. Fancy is not cheap unless you have nothing better to do with your time.

dont have to get a wireless
dont have to get a wireless printer per-say
Can get a wireless print server. Which is just a small unit that has the USB cable (unless you printer is old as) run into it, and can be wirelessly configured to your wireless network.
Works a treat, ive setup for many of my friends. Never fails.
Heres a perfect example

Pretty cheap units too, Ive got mine configered to a Canon laserjet at home, and prints from all our laptops wirelessly no dramas.
