Would you go out on Tues 26/07
Submitted by whipasswaverunner on Mon, 2011-07-25 12:45
Hi all, I am thinking of going out tommorrow out wide, considering the weekend isn't going to be much fun.
Just after peoples opinions if they would go out in the conditions that the weather forecasters are predicting?
Cheers

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I would
I would consider it, how wide out, would be careful so i could get back in if it turns to crap.
One thing i would do was head down and look first, then make my final desision.
Alot of good fish in close at the moment , inshore would be an option too.

Depends how big your boat is?
Safest thing to do would be to check out the conditions in the morning, as our wonderful weather site isn't always accurate. If conditions are ok, head out as far as they permit, but also leave yourself a window to get back, if the conditions change. I would love to head out, but am stuck in the office!!!!! Stupid work

You should stay home and do so gardening Steve
Earn some brownie points mate. Seems like you are running out of them what with all the car troubles LOL.
I may head out land based in the afternoon. It looks like it's worth a shot before a week of total crap weather.

Ocean was a bit hungover, got the props out of the water a bit on the way out in the cat.
Didn't really bother venturing further than rotto, fined up a bit more as the day wore on though and was a quick trip home.

Bumpy ride out
Yea swell and westerly wind made it a bumpy ride out and slow going. We went out about 20 mile, caught undersize dhue, undersize pink snapper and a foxfish. Coming back in was a lot smoother travelling with the swell. Ended up getting a heap of good sized sand whiting, closer in. It was really nice between 3 -4 pm, when the wind settled completely down.
