Great rewards there. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of range of depths were you fishing? I know i saw 6m in the 2nd pic on your sounder. What was the deepest you tried?

Brett you're on fire

Some great catches there mate. It must be a bit spooky out there at night on a yak, but fish like that would make it worth it. How did you go getting that big one onboard?

Bit crowded

Wed, 2008-09-03 08:08

once you have him onboard Col, and it's not over till he's stowed thats for sure!?@ I havent lost one over the side yet, but i would say the chances of it happening are extremelly high! You end up with a fair bit of fish slime, and scale on your lower legs!!

 I was trying for Snapper

Wed, 2008-09-03 10:08

I was trying for Snapper with Soft Plastics earlier on,,,the tails were getting chomped off real quick by tailor, so i caught a squid and ripped its head off and threw that down,,got 4 Pinkys and missed about the same.

Not a lot was happening last night, Albee caught two,1 octopus for me.Cool

Wed, 2008-09-03 11:43

Good work guys,

Were you guys out sunday on the Yak in the sound????

There was a group of boats, and about 3 or 4 yaks working some snapper ground, thought it might have been the fishwrecked crew.

Myself and Albee are sick of

Thu, 2008-09-04 15:03

Myself and Albee are sick of pulling in Pinkys so we gave last night a miss but went down to have a yak to three others that went out, amonst them Matt who got his picture in the sunday times about 6 weeks ago with 3 Pinkys he caught off a tiny Finn Gizmo (since upgraded to Malibu x-13))and the Australian agent for Malibu Kayaks Shawn made an appearance,,,early reports indicate they had the best nights fishing of there lives (quoteing matt and shawn)  so this week is shaping up like last week,,,plenty during the week and probally a watse of time of the weekend .
