I went down Easter Sunday and back Tuesday. Sunday arvo was interesting, with many novices and clowns messing up the big hill trying to get out. Once they had all gone, the hill got back to some normal state and the climb out was simple. The track in is easy, but gets a bit bumpy with too many people driving with too much right boot on the little inclines. The beach is fine to drive on.
Loads of fat herring and good tailor to 50cm/1+kg along the beach to the north. Salmon are there in smaller numbers, but I heard reports of bigger hauls to the south of the mouth.

I know what you mean Glenn, we were fishing not far from the track onto the beach and some guys were taking two or three goes to get up.
I had let my tyres down to 10psi and walked straight up first go.
