YellowFin Whiting

Took the little one out for a flick in mandurah today with llittle success. Really struggling to find the fish and the little miss is getting a bit bored and frustrated haha. Tried Coodanup and South Yunderup but seem to be well out of my depth so any help would be appreciated. Trying topwater scumdogs and varying the retirieve but want to get amongst them to get the little one hooked.

I always pack a diving minnow like the SX40 and if they aren't hitting the surface you'll usually snag a few sub surface. Little metal vibes also work a treat.

...if you ventured out on the boat ramp side, you have to cover a fair bit of ground. I found heaps of small ones out near the boating channel, on a subsurface Zoea, the other day, but going farther along and away from the channel I got some 30cm+ ones on topwater...shin deep water.
