The fuel guage is reading 1/2 a tank out at the moment. i was told it was 125 litres and the first time i filled it when the guage was reading empty it only took 65 litres. the guage only went to half full so I am assuming it is a 125 litre tank.... i carry 10 litres spare, just in case i'm wrong.

Brunswick Corp owns bayliner, trophy and a fair few others. They also own mercury so all their boats are done as a package.

Noisy bastard at WOT but good economy in the scheme of things, was the person telling you they were really good engines was trying to sell you one? They have their issues like any OB I guess but there is far better IMO & I would love nothing more than to have a Yammy 4st on her.... dreaming at the moment

Na na saw his boat on the beach and asked about it- was a 135hp on a 6m and he's done 600 hours on it with no problems and he goes out to the Rowley Shoals and Abroholos island and stuff.
I had a yammy 115 4 stroke and it was the sweetest sounding engine ever- every time it was running it almost sent me to sleep (not really)
Nothing like a Yammy!

Rowleys? Not sure I believe
Rowleys? Not sure I believe that. Don't think a 6m boat could carry the fuel required to do the 600km return trip from the mainland. I'm guessing you would have to work on 800l. A 135 is not going to plane a 6m boat with over a ton of load.

it sounded like the rowleys but maybe he said the shelves? How far off are the shelves near exmouth. He sounded really confident in the engine and always participates in bill fishing and other tournaments up there.

Cant forget old faithful, Carins Custom Craft plate dinghy, tough as with full lenght superstucture under the floor. Now powered by 50hp EFI Honda 4 Stroke all sitting on offroad trailer. Maybe up for sale shortly but its hard to part with. Done trips from Coral Bay to Darwin. Spent nights over at Westmoore island and weeks fishing the Daly River NT.

Pretty average actually, the Poly is a pretty heavy boat....hopefully with the right prop I will get ~34knts out of it
It is the max HP for the hull but sometime this year they have retested the hulls of the 5.3m and changed it to 140hp (in the 2011 brochure it still says 115hp)

Wow, thought you'd get more out of it than that.
I know the poly's are pretty heavy, but I had the same engine on the back of my 6m glass boat and could get 34+ knots with a 19" pitch ? (1 person / canopy down)
What prop are you running ?
