10.7kg Dhuie 07/04/07

We went out today with the intention of exploring. We found 6 new spots, one turned out to be a new "hot spot" with a second dritf double hook up on big fish. Darryn dropped his fish with a bite-off within 20m of the boat but I hung on to boat this beauty.
I love finding new ground.
Shame Alfred and Shamu didn't follow us to this spot.

Yep a good day Tim
The best part was we didn't fish any of my usual ground except for a few quick drifts on the way back in.
All our fish came from brand new spots we found by exploring. I have written an article for FWA on the subject, which they may print shortly. Just a bit of a how to, find and farm your spots. The great thing about today is that I did exactly what I said in the article and the result was a nice big Dhuie.
Alfred followed us out for most of the morning but we lost him and Shamu around 10-00am as we moved wider and they stopped to fish a lump we found on the way out.
Cheers

Best Way
Your right there. No point hitting the same spot every week. I came in from the fads about 1:30 and managed to find a few nice spots on the way back in. Allways head a slightly different way back in and have a look around. One was a nice big lump in 60m that I just had to stop at and have a few drifts. Got a few good hits and dropped a good fish there.
Apparently Alfred has some photos of his own to share so we will have to wait and see what he got.

scuffle
Doesnt sound like it was too good at the ramp. Someone must have got really heated to have a scuffle as normally its only a few choice words getting tossed around

Which ramp was that?
What were the circumstances?
