Is that a black(dasyatis thetidis) or a smooth ray(dayatis brevicaudata) , battling a bit with the angle of your pic - leaning towards the smooth ray tho. U did very well to land a "120kg" fish in half an hour , u must of thumbed the spool big time using the gw50 - top fish , well done !

About 1/2 hour mate!
With the correct pressure on a ray that size , it took me 1/2 hour and it was on the beach. Good fun!

half an hour seems pretty
half an hour seems pretty much right to me ive caught 50kg models and they give up in about 10 or so minutes on 30 lb
would like to see how long you could run towin 8 or so kg behind you
