A 1st on Jig for me

A 1st on Jig for me

Went out on Sat with Kasey to target deep water fish on jig.

Spent heaps of time and covered heaps of ground (From 150m to 325m) trying different likely looking spots until finally Smile.

Must say I did take bait as a back up thou.

Nice work Tim. Few friends in the background hey.

How was the fight compared to fish on bait and big leads?

We couldnt believe we were getting hit off the bottom. Usually about the time you were about to drop to the bottom again.

500g

Used a 500gm Zest Super Deep jig I picked up at Oceanside on the way home Friday night.

Not alot of glow. Just on the belly. Didnt bother charging it either just rigged and dropped. You can see from the pic here its only the bit on the belly of the jig thats lumo (pink one in the middle is the easiest to see).

Speed

Tue, 2008-12-02 17:54

Dean. The Daiwa ones are speed jigs. Better for Sambos I would think.

These are more a darting type jig with a bit of action built in.
