Turtle bay Mackie.
We caught this monster in turtle bay on sunset, after a 30min fight on 8kg braid. Suddenly I was pulling a dead weight and expected much worse than a tail missing. My mate on his first fishing trip wondered "how did it get so big and put up such a fight if it doesn't have a tail?" classic.

Good size mackie
Did you see the shark? Mako sharks in particular have a habit of nipping off the tail first, thus immobilising its prey.

No Alan the Mackie was at about 60ft out of sight when it happened. So it was a long wait to see what was left.strange he didn't have another go at it on the way up.
Kirkyit, it is a true story, funny.
