Arm Stretching Trevally

Arm Stretching Trevally

On the weekend, had a run out to my one of my favourite locations, Koks Island, Carnarvon.

Howling NEaster had us hiding on the western side of the island.

First drop with a Shout Lighten got smashed on the way down, 24kg Braid, 8kg drag, new this was going to be a good fish.

Sorry for the picture quality but had to get this guy back in the water ASAP, He swam away nice and strong.

Overall another great day on the water.

Kept: 1 Rankin Cod, 4 Sweet Lip Snapper, 2 Spanish Mackeral

Released: 1 Trevally, 6 Sweet Lip Snapper, 2 Rankin Cod, 1 Small Coral Trout

Gear Lost to Toothy Critters: Two Pirate jigs, 1 Shout Lighten, Numerous Plastics

Special Thanks to Tailor Marc for his help with my shitty photo

Thanks You Guys

Just got back to an area where I can get a signal,

The first touch was very slight, as I wound up a metre, he came back and smacked it.

He tried all the tricks to bust me, went hard early, the came up quietly for a three or four metres, then ran deep, under the boat, around the outboard, judging by the slight scratches on his side he also went for the nearest coral hole.

Two more days to Exxy Yahooo.

Those driving up for the Comp, drive safe and look forward to catching up for a beer or five.
