Baldchin Groper from Tuesday's Gully outing
Submitted by Adam Gallash on Wed, 2006-07-19 09:58
The boys made me remove cap and sunnies for a pose in the 20 knot north easter, something I won't be doing from now on. :) Still, was a good first fish for the day and had me stoked.

Overboard
I recall a similar looking "first" fish being reluctantly released a few months ago Adam, maybe the fish gods have smiled on you again and let you catch him a second time.
Nice fish, well done.

Funny you bring that up
Funny that you bring that up Andy, was talking to Gully about that yesterday and the similarities, this time the rule being once you've got your first fish onboard you're allowed to crack a beer. I hope it was the fish gods because it was a tough call that day, especially not visiting the sand whiting spot first as you do with your regular punters. :))) If it was super dhu I would have been in some trouble I think.

Wished
Wished I had my hat on! The ol receding hairline doesn't look good there. What a terrible photo, but the fish looks good so I'll call it square. ;)

Do what I did cheif and just shave your head and avoid the enevidable. Just have to watch the old scone in the sun though seems to cop it on hot days. A bald head is a solar panel for a fishing machine.

The ol speed stripes have to be hidden away these days, especially considering I'm still a bit short of 30 and it serves as too much of a nasty reminder of what I may have to look foward too. :(
