Got this one straight up on a bit of ground I haven't fished in ages. Just landed and bled the dhu and dropped a bait over hoping for something to complete the bag, when out of the blue fisheries turn up. Just a licence check.... and maybe a ping too.

Spots
Used to have blokes from Fisheries shark research on board quite often when pro fishing. We'd anchor up on a spot each night and drop a line in, was told that to keep the respect of other pro boats they couldn't tell you that there was probably a better spot only couple of hundred metres away that they had fished with some other pro boat recently. Fair call in my book, We do much the same on a call out from sea rescue, We are not interested in your favourite spot, only in getting you in safely.

Boarded
Where abouts were you? We got boarded about 10 mile out in between Ledge Point and Seabird. Apart from checking the catch they went through our bait as well. They were from Lancelin.
