Went 35cm on the tube and it
Went 35cm on the tube and it was in maybe 2-3m of water. We didn't see any chasers because the sun was on the wrong side, it was quite windy, and the jigs were right out the back, but we got some more good sized ones in the same zone.

Think we bagged about a dozen
Think we bagged about a dozen in an hour. Then it was Rotto for a load of crays and a few hezza.
Fresh squid for dinner was very nice....some smoked herring would have completed the plate....did you get yours Alfred?

Just putting the brine on
Just putting the brine on now.
Man filleting hezzas is tedious, I only managed to do 12 of the 18 herring, the rest went to deep drop bait and I think one was converted into a bass grouper!
Big seafood week this week;
Yesterday was sashimi skippy at my bro's, followed by crayfish and the roast belly and wings from the big bass grouper.
Tonite is Braised squid with chorizo, tomatoes and paprika
Tomorrow is crayfish curry
Wednesday is smoked hezzas
Thursday is Baked Grouper!
