Snapbacks

We went to three different tackle stores and none of them had snapbacks, or the hooks/weights used for them. So i just grabbed a gakamatsu 6/0, rigged it through and crimped a ball sinker as a head. I just dropped one down as a bit of fun, next thing you know i had the blackass then a tuskfish straight after, 2 from 2, pretty stoked I tell ya that much!

I'm into this plastics business now. Can't believe the amount of fish that seem to love them.

oooooh, love to get some pinkies that size on them, that would be awesome fun on the light stuff. Nice and close to shore by the looks, what sort of depth were you in?

about 16 metres Adam....DB

Tue, 2006-03-07 16:32

about 16 metres Adam....DB and I landed 12 in about 1 1/2 hours....keeping 8 of the bigger ones....

Dave got the biggest for the day (on bait) at around 78cm (7+kg)....we left them biting, and were back through the river mouth by 9.00am for a breakfast can.
the picture is of a little one....most were around the 60-65cm mark

the river mouth is now silted up from all the rain inland...all the big boats (crayboats) have gone down to Port gregory so they dont get stuck upstream...

Going back early next month I hope..

This one is a metro pinkie....notice the different colour....more pink
