sadly, could not be revived after capture...but did not go to waste.....I had to eat a LOT of marlin steaks, marlin curry, marlin kebabs, marlin sushi, marlin in batter, marlin salad....marlin soup..

But marlin is nice to eat , I suppose after 100kg of it you might get sick of it tho.
I will never slag off at someone keeping a fish to eat .

Marlin
Atleast it went to good use and was tried to be revived. Never tried marlin, but have heard that its meant to be pretty good, not that I'd ever kill one deliberately just to try.
My one hate of fishing is seeing billies hung for competition purposes, guess some people just don't get the same satisfaction seeing it swim off to live another day. :(

We tried for 30mins to get her right, but she was totally spent, that's fishing I guess. Marlin is like a cross between tuna and mackeral. It's really nice smoked too.

We anchored up and berleyed
We anchored up and berleyed inside the reef for spangled emperor at Coral Bay. Got the shock of our life when we hooked a saily, but because we didn't have specialised gear for that type of fish it was pretty much knackered after the fight and couldn't be revived after trying for ages. Had to keep it unfortunately, tried to make the most of it but it really tasted like sh&@.
