Well
When the local MP opened it yesterday even he was cracking jokes about coming down with a few beers to watch the 'events'. It will work well if people launch in morning and retrieve in arvo's as it should be. My big concern is that locals that knock off after work will try launch for a quick arvo blast to the ron's whilst touro's come back in after being out there all day. Thats when the fireworks will begin unless theres some cool heads prevailing.

Oh yeh
Don't back, back too far on the low tide!! Unless they dredge it by the start of tourist season next season my money is on the sandbar building back up and making it very difficult for all boats over the 5.5m mark. :)

Adam
Will you be adding that to the Boat Ramps thread?
(I agree, late launches vs retreivals on early launches are always the 'fun' time.

Im guessing to deal with the tides and the amount of sand build up that will more than likely happen.

entertaining
They should put a light on the pole at the end....bit difficult coming in after a night fish, especially when there is no moon.
entertaining way to spend a bit of spare time...fishing around the edges of the hardy head schools while watching the all the chaos on the ramp. Some seriously funny shite goes on
