Odd 2 kg one. Still early . Another month yet . Still fair few 1/2 kilo jobs . You can tell with size of heads small . I don’t spear or gaff them . Crabs everywhere . They know you can’t touch them . I did notice today every male was latched to female . Good sign. Haven’t seen this for years and years . Heaps of females. People differ on this subject . I still think key to saving and populating crabs is total ban on female crabs. Even if there is no sign of eggs ect on female . There body full of them . Not like crayfish you can tell straight away. Now pros use traps instead of tangle nets every female would survive. Worked for crays protecting over size female crays . 90 percent of people I know only keep males . First crabs to leave are males, females stay behind . Heads full of eggs. No brainer .

Had swim today over
Safety bay side pretty sad . Only seen 1 female . Traps catch 24 hours a day . It can not be good for grandkids in future

One thing I did
See was big colony of sea dragons . There pretty cool to watch
