Dhufish from Jurien
Submitted by Auslobster on Sat, 2008-10-11 22:28
Got back from my Jurien trip last week and caught my second biggest dhuie ever...17 kgs. More detailed report in another forum but the kids and I got a good feed of dhufish, snapper, baldies , blackarse, as well as four nights of some pretty savage tailor action on a wide range of lures.
This is also my first attempt at posting an image on this site so I guess it's somewhat of a test as well!

test OK
Well done John, some great fish caught. The pinky on SP, the big pinky & big dhu being stand outs....nice one!

Yep 40's
Out on the second bank there are a series of coral patches approx 12-14nm southwest of the marina, Russ...pretty hard to drift around there for half a day and NOT pick up a good feed!
My son got a 13 kg one much closer in, just behind the lighthouse, as well.
Thanks, Ryan...the pinkie on the soft plastic was probably the highlight for me although those tailor sessions on poppers and my son releasing his 82cm snapper had to rate right up there with it!
