AG rods and gear

Tue, 2006-08-29 17:17

He's the rep for AG rods and gear , nice bloke and NICE rods , I played with the 410 heavy and it was FANTASTIC , 4 foot 10 inch long , heavy jig rod , was light as a feather and QUALITY gear on it , and blinged up to the max .

If any of those blokes need somewhere to advertise Mav, send them my way. Looking to add a few more to the site, but only the best, of course. :D

REALLY. youve just sparked my interest.

Yes, I just noticed the JM logo on his cap.
Was thinking of building a 400g and a 500g special.

Do you think you could pm me more info please Mav?
Happy to trade in my smith for a jigging master =)

Sorry bud

Tue, 2006-08-29 20:46

Sorry KC , havn't got much more info I can give ya , only played with the one rod as I was busy cutting bait and dispatching fish all day , had a Stella 20000 on it and was a pleasure to use , I don't quite know what to get now , jig wrex, Van stall or Jigging Master ???? and there is more to come from what I have heard , I just can't wait for Oct and the good gear come's out for us to play with .

Al will be back next week so maybe give him a call and get the guys Number ??, sorry but I am shit I mean REAL SHIT with names I sometimes forget my own , I remember faces ok but names go bye bye for some reason ???

He's a real genuine good bloke and he's in love with his product ( actually I think he's the importer/ distributor for them but can't remember properly) all I know is he had a shit load of rods , jigs and other AG stuff on board and it was all the latest stuff , their jigs are looking good for the Sambo's etc too.

He's got some good add on bling stuff for reels etc and rod accessories ( starting to sound like a salesman now don't I ???) I loved the Tbar he's got on his reels and the usual big ball knobs etc and not just for Stella's and Salt grinders bit's & pieces for other models even for my little Saltist ( wouldn't mind a Tbar on my Saltist for when the Carbontex washers go in) .

As soon as I get some good info I'll post up on it , don't want to go spouting off about something that wont be available , also will try to get RRP on the gear I reveiw as well.

The right hand wind Van Stalls are looking mighty fine the 275 was in use on the week end and performed well.

Anyway enough from me , cheers , MAV.

Thanks mav. Well, if it

Tue, 2006-08-29 22:18

Thanks mav. Well, if it means anything, I'm picking JM over jigwrex, but then again the price ranges are in different ball parks (almost double), but these prices are based in Singapore.

I don't have an opinion on the Van Staal yet. If you wanna have a go at doing up a rod, then why not try a JM blank? the 400g and 500g are famous for big doggies.

I'm planning to pair a 500g or the 500g special with a stella and pe8 or 10, and a 400g with a ocea jigger 4000P with pe8. we'll see how I go, for me the next step up is zenaq (in terms of price range) and then seven seas and fisherman, and my name isn't 'HONSU' so I can't afford that kind of rods.

thanks anyway =)

Jigging master, not

Wed, 2006-08-30 04:48

Jigging master, not Jigmaster jay ;) dont get confused

Well known in south east asia, taiwan, korea, japan, etc, and worldwide to the people who like to jig or pop.

Jigging master and Popping master are under the same company, AG (Taiwan).

They have a club called the 'all over 100kg club'. ^^

http://www.agmz.com.tw/AGJIG/index.asp it is in chinese though.

their leading jiggers are a wonder to watch. and boy do they know how to modify gear.
