Now thats a solid sambo for 16m, what sort of gear/line class did you get it on.

Landed it using a TLD15, 40lb Daiwa Sensor braid and a 15kg stroker rod. As you can imagine it went real hard...
I managed 5 hookups for 5 bustoffs much to the amusement of the two others onboard. Some of the Sambos around were just unstoppable in the shallow water but we had a lot of fun trying!

I saw a big sambo in just 12m off GI on the weekend, it was trailing a ray about 7' round and it was a bit shorter. Couldn't really tempt it with the cray snare though =0
