small eagle ray i got on wednesday at hilaries. fought dirty and almost snagged me. caught on my alvey. the gimbal didnt help at all. i got a nice bruise on my hip from it

It's already half bbq'd that concrete would have been pretty warm, as wed was pretty warm...
Nice lil ray there buddy...atleast there some excitement when nothing else is around

this one went off to some chinese guys who wanted it. they barely spoke any english and it was a pain to communicate with them

Soak fillets in milk...
Should have kept it SOR... Fillet the wings and soak them in milk overnight taste just like flake. Oh they do sell ray wings as flake!!!!!!!!!! Nice and tasty if done right but not sure about the jetty BBQ

Next time you see them and you catch something you dont want, I suggest you tell them to catch their own. I hate ppl who dont speak english and they want to keep everything they catch, including your catch. I not been a hypocrite coz Im asian but some of us work hard to catch the fish and I rather they learn to catch one themselves.
No good living in Australia if you cant speak english. I do and my whole family do.
Sorry to the whinge....had to get it off me chest!!

i have dealt with many different nationalities over the years and i applaud the ones that learn english , it does make it easier to understand
back to the catch, well done at least you got something ,they can run quite well

ya, totally agree with honsu. let them catch their own feed. and report them if u get to see any under-size fishy in their bucket.
not sure y, but seeing dead under-size fishes in anyone's bucket or cooler really makes my blood boil.

1/2 of the fishos at hilarys cant speak english and it can get really frustrating
and the asian people are known for taking the undersized fish and this week ive told afew off and such with one incident being a guy trying to keep a baby KG...
today the whole friggin rock wall was empty and they came right next to US...alll 15 of em
but this is no racial attack at anyone by any mean because the ones who can speak english and know how to fish like honsu(knows how to fish VERYYYY well in honsu's case) and otoshi are great guys and i hold high respect to them, but the clueless ones need to do some homework i think, but it isnt just the asian people by any mean....its all races so please guys dont take this as a racist attack
but yeah next time we get a ray liam it might be worth a feed
