End of Bundegi ramp - not a nice place

It's not finished yet (photo taken mid August 2008). This shows why it can't be used yet.

Bundegi ramp

6 more of these concrete panels are stacked up ready to go on the end.

The piles to the right are for the walkway jetty.

Wish I was there to see how they fit the I beams and the panels under the water.

Old Bundegi ramp

The old Bundegi ramp wasn't very user friendly!

OK if you took it slow. Lots of moving the steel ramps up and down at low tide.

The concrete ramp was there under tons of soft wet sand.

That old Bundegi ramp in the photo above taken August 2007 is being replaced by this (still to be finished):-

Photos taken August 2008

The black cross pieces at the right of the first photo is where the walkway will go.

I think that old Bundegi ramp is the second one to have been buried by sand.
