Awesome river hey Brad. How far down did you go? Hope you didn't find skeg rock (just upriver from Angalarri Creek) the hard way.:)

nah BJ, i we were aware of skeg rock before we got there. We only went down to Angalarri had a bit of a fish in the hole at the junction there. We picked up a few barra at skeg rock trolling Sp's. We went to the Vic on the way home and at that stage in the trip we just wanted to go home, so we kept things short.
Next time will go down to growlers rock bar and the crucifix tree

Plenty of big ones on the Vic. 16-18ft footers are run of the mill down there.

Pretty amazing river when you still get tidal influence 150 k's from the mouth.

yeah mate, we saw some bloody monsters up there. Didnt stop us getting out and throwing the cast net off that rocky spit though. We had a baseball bat to fend them off though so we were right and the water was quite shallow so you could see the big ones comming, hmmmmm.
