You're right Adam... we were pretty deep indeed. Spotted plenty of birds working out wide so decided to inspect... Good result too!!!
Don't know what depth though... my mates sounder/gps packed it in on day 2.

nice mack, looks like the conditions were in your favour as well , not quite a glass off but very fishable. pity about the sounder as its a bit tougher fishing without one
