hit the fads yesterday with the weather looking a bit to be desired stopped in and caught some herring for the bait well and they didnt want to play the game the water was like a mirror! so after six and a wrass i called it and headed off to the fads when we arrived at the first fad there was a boat there hooked up the wind would have been on the plus side of fifteen knots  we trawled our lures around but no even a sniff! so out went the mulies bang a tripple hook up! two fish boated and one released to small i called it really the trace broke, reset and the deckie decides hey lets put out your 2kg gear out went the baits next thing you hear is my little reel screaming and the fish jumps its a big one twenty mins later he brings in a 6kg fish i had caught a nice one and the other deckie got one too! so that was it both boys on the 2kg gear and i was on the 4kg reset and i load up this fish went deep and didnt want to come up after a long battle i finally boat it 6.5kg dollieso we were at our limit but the boys didnt want to leave so we had a few more drifts releasing a few fish untill they stopped biting! so i thought i would use the live herring but i only had one fish rise and he wasnt that keen more swiping at the fish than eating it! so off we went in to go home when i found some nice ground on the trip back pulled up and we all hooked up two black ass and a 11.5kg duhie! went back onto the spot but not another bite by this time it was pissing down so we headed home!
