Perspex from bunnings as per the other thread. You wouldnt really want to have glass on it. Though, if you want to drill glass, use the diamond coring bits, not those crappy arrow head ones.
Looks good pelagic. The stripey paint scheme is interesting. Might want to attach a ring or a clip or something similar to the towing point instead of the running line. Mine started to wear through after a day of trolling (its constantly sawing back and forth).

yeah not sure about the stripey configuration -was going to go for a halco redhead look but then got carried away with the masking tape!
thks hlockk - i will probably make a new one when i get some time and put a snap ring swivel or similar on - i am made one a few years ago that was cylindrical (cone front) and had a fin at an angle on the cone nose and mirror tape on the cone - so the fin made it spin through the water - it would hit the surface probalby every 20-30 seconds -
was it effective? - not sure the h/duty swivel broke (too small) and it is somewhere off the coast of Gnaraloo :-(
