Hawks, whatever! But fly fishers are at the top of the game! I would love to and will learn the art of fly fishing oneday as the purest of skills is being able to put anything that reflects bait in front of a fish whether salt or freshwater and then catching it on fly!
It's that kind of coment that puts alot of people off being members on this site when this site would welcome Fly Fishers with open arms!
to right jighead, not too many places you can get a good cast so roll casting and feeding the fly downstreem works well. most of the time im only casting maximum 10m however there are a few places where you can access the middle of a few decent rivers from fallen down karri trees. then you can get a good 30m+ cast going to rising trout early morning of late arvo. awesome place! also heaps of narrow feeder creeks full of trout and redies, just have to wear decen clothes that can stand up to a day in the black berries.
