Your a lot keener than me to put your car in salt water.

I got my big cat in and out without getting that deep

not that bad

its not that bad , just not nice seeing your tojo in a such a position, the wheels and diffs are getting wet, and water splashing up on the chassis, your rig would get worse damage driving along a wet beach and having wet/salty sand thrown up in all the chassis joints and panel joints ,hard to wash out areas, this would be a lot different if the water was up as high as the top of the wheels and seeping inside the door panels

yes was in further than i

yes was in further than i would want -but that is the problem with bunk trailers! -got to float the boat off it
used the steel ramps on the beach - easy -
as for the salt - its not a problem if you clean it properly - gave it a good wash with a firehose when we got back - shes got diff breathers but still change the oil at next service - 250 bucks well spent
Car was bought to use and enjoy -not keep it in pristine condition for the next owner! :-)
