tell me about it

Tue, 2008-06-03 21:21

I tried a new technique yesterday of picking up the anchor and drifting on the outgoing tide down the back of the inner dropoffs.  (not a good tide for diving, but do what you gotta do)  Found some good ground and a few half decent bluies, soon as the anchor chain gets dropped anywhere near them they're outa there faster than a bullet.

Double barrel

Tue, 2008-06-03 21:25

Need a double barrel gun Adam. I had a long shot at one the other day from about a 45 degree angle looking down on him. Spear missed and hit the bottom sending up a little puff of dirt/rubble. At this point the bluey got all aggressive and turned back towards me. Would have been an easy kill if I had the second barrel. :)

Don't know Ads, the fish has definitely been positioned for advantage.:))))

I've been having a bit of success with live crabs and cray horns Banjo, are you using similar baits?

Definately

Tue, 2008-06-03 21:14

Definately got the arms out, but the wings and shoulders are solid. Just went and looked at the photo of my 650 a while back and this guy was definately bigger. Cheated, sorta. :)  Top fish indeed.
