Good day on the KG's

Had a crack at the snapper for a couple of hours (Cockburn) on Wednesday but no luck......again. So decided to chase some KG's.
Ended up with 8 KG's, all around the 40cm Mark and very solid. Also managed a few squid, heaps of jumbo herring and skippy and got busted off about 5 times. One was definitely a salmon, I assume the others were too based on the fight - run, run, run and snap goes my 6lb line :))
Was such a great day out there and was basically a fish a cast (except for the snapper attempt). I didn't even get a chance to drink my icy cold beers in the esky.

Great catch
Sounds like a awesome day, I'd rather have the kg's and squid over the snapper any day.

I agree
When i target them they are not there. Usually just a by catch when i do get them.
Sometimes when the water is quiet, you can hear the fish laughing at you !
