We get them in Perth but you normally dont hear too much about them being caught.

Understand not wanting to give too much away.

I know of a few guys who get them down South of Perth. Your lucky if your only fishing 250m.

Blue Eye information is usually kept quieter than the Hapuka info.

mind my ignorance but wot is a blue eye
i catch g/b harpuka and bass grouper matro and down south but i have never heard of a blue eye, does it have another name. ps nice haul ozzie think i might of fished the same ground as you last year. its called goats head?

there are blue eye out from perth .. but much more down here :)

plus we only have to get to 300m for them in our colder waters .. cant wait to get a few more this year once the weather settles down.
