Hate these fish

Hey all.
Was casting around for squid and i felt fish hitting the jig, i stuck and came up tight with a fish. Thinking i would lose it within seconds i kept winding. I landed it and it was a Nor-west blowie. For those that dont know they have a nice big set of teeth. Was landed on a Yamashita that had never seen water beofore this cast and now it's destroyed... There goes another 20+ dollars....
Another first of the squid jig for me but.

whys it destroyed
did it crush the barbs...normal blowies are a pain to dehook when they clench the fangs... i imagine those norwesters be a lot worse ...

Yer mate all the barbs are mangled and all the tips of the alright bards are bent over. The cloth is fine apart from a few puncher holes and the lead weight has bite marks.
And yer their worst because there bigger and have stronger chomping teeth. I'll up load a pic of the barbs later. Not to happy but..
